Hawklords, The Marrs Bar, Worcester - 8th November 2024
As usual The Hawklords took everyone, myself included, into an other realm.... The three guys gave their spiritual energy, style and space rock nuances to the assembled followers gathered in this small but very popular venue.( Marrs Bar, Worcester) Blasting their way through space and time with old favourites, new album taster's and a mesmerising backdrop, the 'Lords delivered yet another fine performance, although it was the latest gig of a long tour tour they never let up, and sent us all to another pleasurable level.. Yes, the true Lords of Levitation....and we love it!!! Can't wait till next year's tour and perhaps a new album?!… .An awesome band and a great venue. A truly great time was had by all the space cadets!!

Hawklords is a British rock band formed in 1978 as a spin-off from the legendary space rock band Hawkwind. Initially created by former Hawkwind members Robert Calvert, Dave Brock, Harvey Bainbridge, and Martin Griffin, Hawklords continued the space rock legacy with their own distinct style and lineup changes over the years.
The band's early albums, such as 25 Years On (1978) and Dreams (1988), reflected their space rock roots with themes of science fiction, dystopia, and cosmic exploration. They have continued to release albums intermittently, exploring various musical directions while maintaining ties to their space rock origins.
Hawklords have maintained a dedicated fan base and are celebrated for their live performances that blend psychedelic visuals with energetic rock music, carrying forward the spirit of Hawkwind's pioneering space rock genre.
