Say Hawkwind at Rock City in Nottingham last Friday - the support act was Lord of Form The venue was excellent, the security staff helpful as were the guys at the bat. I enjoyed the gig, light show and the ambience. I hope to go again.

Hawkwind, Rock City, Nottingham - 9th August 2024
In the impressive setting of Chepstow Castle this was an equally impressive Hawkwind gig with Dave Brock at 82 years old delivering the goods.

Hawkwind, Castell Roc Chepstow Castle, Chepstow - 28th August 2023
The warm up act were very basic headbangers with a bit of Motorhead pedigree. They succeeded in getting the party started. I am no expert on Hawkwind but found them very interesting. Technically, very good musicians and the tracks played were enjoyable if a bit indulgent and overlong at times. Superb light show. The venue carries very good acoustics and atmosphere. Bit awkward departing with only one exit and poor lighting. Some confusion over whether we could use our camping chairs. We couldn't but stored them with security and bought seats for an extra £1 each which was a no brainer.

I have seen Hawkwind many times, they were the first concert I ever went to 45 years ago and have seen them regularly ever since. Last nights concert at Chepstow Castle had the best acoustics, light show and atmosphere of any time I have ever seen them. Excellent event that will stay with me for a long time. The band was really tight, music was good and Dave Brock’s voice at 82 years young was good and strong. Thank you
