Thea Gilmore, St Georges Bristol, Bristol - 31st January 2024
5th time I've seen Thea G in about 8 years. She is an excellent songwriter and has a beautiful voice. Last time I saw her (in Pocklington) she was performing many songs from her Afterlife album. It was an incredibly moving solo concert. This time we heard songs from the new album (which I do like, although not released yet) and a hotchpotch of older songs including two from Counterweight. She had a 3 piece backing band, the standard lead and bass guitars and drums. They were professional but lacked a bit of charisma. The performance was well received by the audience but for me there was something missing. There was interaction with the audience but somehow it didn't quite hit the spot with me. Won't stop me seeing her again in the future.

Thea Gilmore, Union Chapel, London - 12th October 2023
Beautiful vocals, arrangements and musical accompaniments made Thea Gilmore and her band at the Electric Palace one of my gigs of the year. A great mix of original songs from her outstanding 'Strange Communion' Christmas album and standards. Great support from Nigel Stonier.

What a great concert, first time I have seen Thea Gilmore, it was a varied setlist of old and new. All good. Ticket prices were spot on. Easy parking round the corner. I will visit Nottingham Contemporary again.
