Great night with group on top form. Plenty of old songs from the first few albums with the classic Green Fields of France alone making it worth me venturing out on a cold dark Thursday evening but I’m so glad I did. I mustn’t leave it another 30 years before I see them again!

The Men They Couldn't Hang, The Hairy Dog, Derby - 15th September 2024
This group TMTCH, was better than I anticipated. The violinist was amazing. They were very friendly and mixed with the fans afterwards. I particularly enjoyed the song about red kites. I thought that the support group were amazing-Black Water County- they had great energy and were the perfect mix with TMTCH .

The Men They Couldn't Hang, Rescue Rooms, Nottingham - 19th May 2024
Love the Rescue Rooms as a venue and it really suited TMTCH. Pleasantly surprised by the support band Headsticks, and was moved to make a purchase from the merch table. I'd forgotten quite how many anthems TMTCH had produced over the years, this was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The sound mix was a bit wobbly at times, and they talked over each other all the time, but that's all part of their ramshackle charm. Pathos without being maudlin, the serious subject matter in some of the songs was given room to breathe without killing the atmosphere, and Cush was remembered and celebrated with smiles on our faces. Brilliant night, I'd go every night of the week. Now, when are they in Derby.
