The Robin has recently upgraded its sounds system and I could tell the difference!! Heaven 17 gave us a brilliant night, vocals were bob on and the backing singers were amazing. As a teenager in the 80’s it was brilliant for me to see them in such a venue and not be 1/2 mile away from the stage.

Heaven 17, The Robin, Wolverhampton - 18th August 2024
Had another fantastic night out at the Robin, listening to one of my favourite bands from the 80's. We were dancing from start to finish, singing along to all the songs. Took us right back to their hayday in the 80's. Simply fantastic, and definitely will return next year for more of the same. Cheers Guys

Heaven 17 pioneered the sound of synthpop and remain one of the most influential acts of all time!
Taking their name from a fictional band in Anthony Burgess's notorious novel A Clockwork Orange (where “The Heaven Seventeen” are at No. 4 in the charts with “Inside”), Heaven 17 were a leading force in the electronica scene exploding out of Sheffield in the 80’s.
With smash hit singles like "Temptation", "Come Live with Me" and "(We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang"; they reached Platinum record sales on albums The Luxury Gap and How Men Are with debut album Penthouse and Pavement certified Gold.
